Tēna Koutou Katoa,
Jan has recently been appointed the (acting) kaihautū role within Awarua Whānau Services, following the departure of the previous Kaihautū Mata Cherrington.
Jan has a strong background in tribal and corporate management, having spent 19 years working for the Alliance Group in various capacities. Jan also has been involved with a wide range of pre and post-settlement organisational development along with a range of other iwi-related mahi during 5 years of working with Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu.
Jan is qualified in midwifery, having spent the last 8 years working in the community. Jan is now excited to dedicate her time to ensuring our kaimahi are able to continue to provide outstanding services to whānau in Murihiku. "I am delighted to be working with, and for, my iwi once more. I feel honoured to be given this opportunity to be involved" Jan explains.
Jan will be supporting Awarua Whānau Services until the new permanent kaihautū will be appointed.
